Rising river Severn

The river severn is flowing very fast and high this morning.  The Gauge at Bewdley is at 3561 above the normal level at 9:00am today.  this is a lift of almost 1 metre overnight from early yesterday evening.

 

For those with online moorings, a check of your vessel is recommended to ensure its mooring integrity.

At 8:00 am today; the level at the Bewdley Gauge was 3.49 metres and rising slowly. A peak level of between 3.8 and 4.2 metres is expected to occur tomorrow morning. The level at the Worcester Gauge was 2.82 metres and rising slowly. A peak level of between 3.5 and 4.0 metres is expected to occur tomorrow afternoon. The level at the Diglis Gauge was 2.03 metres and rising slowly. A peak level of between 2.8 and 3.3 metres is expected to occur tomorrow afternoon. The level at the Saxons Loade Gauge was 2.47 metres and rising slowly. A peak level of between 3.6 and 4.1 metres is expected to occur on Thursday morning The following areas could be affected by flooding Low lying areas of farmland and caravan parks between Worcester and Tewkesbury, together with the low lying roads at Upton.
