There is further heavy rainfall and high winds expected from early evening today through to Friday morning. We at Sirius are hoping that the following few days will be dry as one or two vessels are hoping to move to or from Worcester.

From visual monitoring on our site, the biggest problem by far this year has been run off from fields and tributaries.  This initially creates fast rises and falls on the day of the rainfall and again as run off from hills and brooks etc catch up and has appeared, this year, to minimise the level and severity of the usual bubbles coming down stream from Wales.

A further problem is that Bevere lock was due to reopen today, but technical issues and the weather has prevented the gates being rehung.  It is hoped that this will still happen today or tomorrow and the nthe work party will be moving up to Lincomb Lock for a 4 week period to the 20th December.

So, not looking great at the moment.  Should those already booked or planning to come in to the yard for works or lifts etc, then as the airlines tell us, please call us first so as we can update you on the current situation.
